I wish for a month of Mays, Oh thats what I got. I 'm Happy

Well May is over Sad, I always love May. The weather is unpredictable and it seems that no matter how industrious I intend to be it becomes my recovery month from Tax Season and I get nothing done, at work anyway. I think that I really like May because I discover that I have a life again. I have tried to keep up with work, but I stopped my day care, I get my baby back, hooray, however it makes work less than productive.

It isn't Sabine's fault that she is so cute and I can't stop playing with her. So I am working out a schedule to try and work two days a week without the little distraction. But it has been fun to be with her all day again.

I like that May brings the call of the outside, we start to garden and work in the yard. Ours is currently being dug up and redone, mostly by someone else. I get sprinklers, a new fence and new grass. The landscaper sold me when he said "I never want you to have to get the hose out again." Then we will do all the details, planting and raised beds, and we laid the brinks for the new patio. So we have been working outside every morning and evening and weekends. I am very excited to get Sabine some grass that she can play on. If only for my entertainment because as we found out at Matt's mom's house, she becomes a stork every time we put her in the grass. I do it now every chance I get because it is so funny.

May also brings the beginning of the family BBQ season. We started it off on Memorial Day's at Emily's new house, officially. Since it has become more difficult and increasing amounts of hoop jumping to get a home loan these days. I am happy it finally worked out for them.

They are cute cheeks everyone wants to pinch them.

We also learned how easy it is to make pulled pork sandwiches. This will be my new Summertime meal. And I will start experimenting with Barbecue sauces. I'll let you know if I come up with anything good.

It is also the beginning of strawberry season. Which Sabine seem to enjoy completely.

After which it was bath time, and a new pack of diapers became the greatest thing in the world.
.

The end of May always includes my birthday. When I was growing up this always was great because many times my birthday landed on the last day of school. Sometimes school would be out and we would be away on vacation. I have been some cool places on my past birthdays including, Moab, UT, Albuquerque NM, the Sea on Galilee in Israel. this year we went to the Hogal Zoo with David and Megan and Emmy. I was surprised at how interested in the animals Sabine was. She seemed to like the monkeys the best.

We rode on the merry go round.

Then we went to Emily's again for Fish Tacos. Michelle's recipe for the sauce on these is really the key to the whole experience. I highly recommend them.

Mass baby fights broke out.

Ella and I share a birthday she turned 3 and I turned 29, my last year in my twenties...I better make it a good one.

The next day we had to put the girls in the outfit that Grandma Willits had given them. They really are twin cousins.

And Finally we went to the Neko Case concert on May 31. Sabine enjoyed dancing to the music and coning people into giving her some of their food.
