Thanksgiving

We drove out to see Kristen and Jake and their Son Kaleb on the Wednesday the 26th. It was a long drive, I crocheted two hats on the way. It was fun to see the babies together when we finally arrived at Kristen's house. Two babies in Feet Pajamas is always better than one.

The next day was Thanksgiving, so we decided we better start the day off with a walk around the block. so we could fit more food in later.

We then Proceeded to dirty every dish in the house at least twice while we made Thanksgiving dinner for the four adults. We could have fed ten people and still had left overs. We all had our contribution, Jake was in charge of the Free Range Turkey, Yams, Grilled Mushrooms and Green Been Casserole. Kristen made the Rolls, Pie Crusts, and Stuffing. I made the Pie Fillings, Chocolate, Lemon Meringue, and Pumpkin, and the traditional grandma Gubler Apple Salad with Pomegranates. Matt made the Mashed Potatoes, a very important job, and he kept the babies occupied. Everything turned out very good and we ate till we could eat no more, then we ate some more anyway. Then we hung out on the couch the rest of the day and played the Wii to try and work some of those calories off. The Wii is exercise right?

We Compared Babies height, Kaleb still wins, but he is one month older...

Then this is how we spent the Friday after Thanksgiving, until later when we braved the black Friday Shopping Malls. We didn't last long out in the crowds so we came back to Kristen's and continued the couch lounging.

Mmmm...Turkey

On Saturday we drove to Santa Barbara to see the Beach and Get Sabine's feet into the Pacific Ocean. It was a nice day. But not Hot like you want the beach to be. But it was still a bright California day. It definitely beat the cold Thanksgiving in Utah.

Sabine Gets her feet in two Oceans before she is five months old.

There was one big wave that came and got Matt and Sabine Drenched, fortunately we another outfit to change the baby into, the Daddy just had to keep wearing his wet clothes. Sabine got a little shocked but was fine after a moment. Of course, then she had sand under her chin rolls and in her ears. Messy Sand.

After the Sandy Beach we went down and got lunch and walk around the city center. Apparently everyone in California only ogle dogs. That is until you put sunglasses on a baby, then everyone gets the cuteness.

Then we walked the boardwalk as the sun was setting. It really was a gorgeous day.

After the fun day we had a long, California Traffic, ride back to Kristen's house

That night we got Yogurt at the "make your own yogurt bar, then we came back and learned how to play Settlers of Catan, Jake kicked our butts. It was our last night, sad. Then we had to get up early the next morning and leave. Fortunately Kristen and Jake are coming for Christmas.
